Twisting shall be carried out according to the technical requirements of wire rope. The torsion direction, lay length, strand diameter, core diameter and diameter, tensile strength, toughness value, coating quality and length of the twisted steel wire shall meet the specified requirements. On this basis, select and prepare wire rope, I-wheel diameter, branch drum, lay length cone, deformer and press tile. The choice of twisting machine should also be carefully carried out to improve the efficiency of twisting.
The wire rope twisting equipment installs the I-wheel for rewinding the rope-making steel wire on the I-wheel frame of the strand winder and locks it, so that the end of each steel wire passes through the threading hole of the strand winder, and the distribution of the threading hole of the strand winder should be adapted to the strand structure, and pass through the pressing wire tile. The end of the steel wire is assembled into a bundle and connected with the traction wheel lead wire. According to the twist length requirements, choose the twist length cone, adjust the tightness of each steel wire, and ensure the tension of the steel wire in the twisting process. Adjust the position of the pressing shoe to press the pressing shoe, and then adjust the parameters of the deformer. After adjustment, start the car slowly. When the twist length and diameter of the steel strand meet the requirements, it can be twisted normally. A certain number of turns should be wound on the traction wheel of the stranded wire, generally 5 to 6 turns, so as to ensure that the stranded wire pulled out of the pressed wire tile has a certain tension. The stranded wire passes through the winding device and is wound on the winding I-wheel by the winding device. The length of the rope strand is displayed by the counter.
Stranding of each layer of steel wire in point contact strands shall be carried out separately. When choosing a twisting machine, the number of I-wheels must be greater than or equal to the number of steel wires in the layer. For example, the strand with the structure (1 6 12 18) is twisted three times, respectively with 6 I-wheels and 12 I-wheels. Twisting on the twisting machine with 18 I-wheels, the twisting of the contacting wire rope strands is completed at one time, and all the wires (two or three layers) that make up the strands are twisted on the strand are twisted on the same machine, so, multi-wheel twisters are generally used for twisting of line contact strands. For example, the (1 7 7/7 14) structure is twisted by a twister with 36 I-wheels, and the twist of the dotted strands is divided into two layers on two twisters, such as (1 6) 12 12 strands,(1 6) lower twist on a 6-wheel twister, and the other two layers on a 24-wheel twister. The twisting of the profiled wire rope and wire rope strands is carried out on special equipment.
